Transformation

“Adversity makes men.”

The difference between a boy and a man is that a man has the vision (he knows where God is leading him), the focus (he knows what God wants him to be doing now), and the Mental, Physical, and Spiritual toughness (proven character) to do His will.

Our aim is to help develop his character.

We do this by challenging him, and helping him to succeed, so that he can grow mentally, physically and spiritually.

Each time he picks himself up from being tired, cold, sore, or hungry in the wilderness, and makes the decision to keep going, he learns that he can do far more than he thought. For the rest of his life, whether it is studying hard to insure a top grade, working hard to do a good job for his boss, staying up late to pray for a friend or starting his own business, he will know, and know from experience - that he has experienced far worse in the past and God will provide the strength that he needs to keep going to the end.

When God takes his own in to the wilderness, He does it to purify their faith and transform their lives. God is going to do something with your son during six days in the wilderness that would take years to develop in the comforts and routines of ordinary life.

In His Hands

Our time together in the wilderness will include teaching with this goal in mind: that God will transform your son’s. . .

Fear and unbelief
pride and self-will
isolation and opposition

self-centeredness
complaining

[And... we're pretty sure he won’t be a picky eater anymore either!]
